Hey guys! Sorry for the little bit of inactivity! The semester has come into full swing! I’ve been going to the zoo often for class, as I mentioned before, doing some research for my story!

I wasn’t sure at first, but I really love these little guys, they are such hams!

So they will almost all be prairie dogs later…but!

This is my idea for my Drawing for Entertainment Design Class. Taking the advice of the instructor, I’m taking my own twist on a classic. I decided to work with Cinderella, except my version takes place in the 1930s, and our protagonist is a young man named Cyril who works for a harsh man named Mr. Coulson. He meets the pretty Miss Evelyn, who he hopes to ask to dance at the local shindig, but with nothing proper to wear, in comes our “Fairy Godfather.” But of course he’ll need the clothes back by midnight ;)

I can’t wait to flesh this out! Prairie dogs are going to be my best friends this semester!

Some more work from my internship! I was able to design a print for a shirt and bag for a close friend of my bosses, who happened to love her wiener dog, Hank!

I recently finished my summer internship at a local screen printing shop called “Alison Rose.” While interning, I was able to design and print my own poster (you might have seen the roughs!) It was a lot of fun learning the whole process and working on it by myself step by step. And I love how it turned out! Here are some process shots as well as the finished product (set of 20)

Really quick redesign of an old character (hence he is missing a leg….)  I always felt that I should of done more with him

Sketch #23, last of the summer! So never did make it daily, but I feel like I accomplished more than I ever would have. This was for my bosses at my internship, my figure wearing one of their t shirts. Let the new school year begin!

For some reason I had a really strange desire to draw some Case Closed fan art. One of my favorite series I always love rewatching, but I don’t think I’ll ever catch up with….and as much as I love the Junior Detective League, I decided to go with Jimmy and Rachel!

I was able to find that old story I wrote. I’ve been marking it up: fixing words and phrases, character personalities, and where pages would stop if I were to do a comic. It needs a lot of work, but I still think it could be fun. This is the main character, Nettle, that I sketched up the other day!

I’ve been sketching at the park on my days off, there actually hasn’t been too many people around, but these are a few that turned out!

I found a great photo book at the library full of awesome street fashion. It’s been a huge help in finding inspiration and outfits to experiment with…but the name of it escapes me right now…
